What are fractional odds?
Fractional odds show the profit against the stake. 8/1 pays £8 profit for every £1 staked.
Reading a fraction
15/2 means £15 profit for every £2 staked, which is £7.50 per £1.
Evens is 1/1: the profit equals the stake.
Converting to decimal
Decimal odds are the total return per £1, stake included. To convert, add 1 to the fraction: 8/1 is 8 + 1 = 9.00, and 15/2 is 7.5 + 1 = 8.50.
